Pallet Sign Workshop

September 30, 2020 |Thursday 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Tacoma Art Museum is proud to partner with The Makery a DIY craft studio located in Tacoma, WA. At this 1.5-hour zoom workshop, guests will be allowed to create their own customizable pallet sign with their own design template. You will be able to pick your sign kit at the museum or it can be mailed to you.

If you haven’t seen Forgotten Stories: Northwest Public Art of the 1930s, you can enjoy a virtual tour narrated by Interim Chief Curator Margret Bullock of the exhibition here! In the 1930s, the US government investment in public art and artists in the Pacific Northwest supported communities and created a wealth of public art with stories that, until now, were nearly unknown. This exhibit will take a close look at some of the murals, paintings, sculptures, posters, and photography from the 1930’s WPA project.
