The Current: Saying the Quiet Parts out Loud is coming to a close and we’re inviting you to join us one last time to experience a new realm of possibility through this immersive experience in the gallery on October 12th, 5-8pm.
Artist Award Manager and Curator, Victoria Miles will be joined by artists Darrell McKinney, Cristina Martinez, Jason McDonald and Kristina Batiste (juniperclay) for an exclusive, final walkthrough of The Current: Saying the Quiet Parts out Loud. As a special celebration of The Current, the gallery will include an extension of newly included works from artists Cristina Martinez, Jason McDonald and Kristina Batiste for this night only!
This event will continue with a dynamic conversation and roundtable between the four artists and Victoria Miles, curator and Artist Award Manger of The Current, An Artist Award. Together, they will discuss themes explored within each of their works, how each artist sees themselves reflected in their practice, and how place and surroundings impact their art.
From 7:00-8:00, the gallery will be open to the public, including the new extension of works from the featured artists this evening. Celebrate with us on the atrium and stop by the bar to get to know the artists through their personal selection of drinks for the evening. Guests can enjoy light refreshments and a cash bar for the evening!
